Just back on the fasty again.

I managed to get a front seat arrangement sorted, see here,

I managed to grab a set of Sprintstars with new tyres from a local beetle owner who decided on
a set of smoothies for his car.

Looking better already. Not long now before I can bring it out and break in the rings.

It surely does. I will do the door repairs as a rolling resto.

I just want to drive this now

All them hours of hardship and grief just pale into insignificance now

Magic just magic. Looking forward now to tidying up both doors and the interior, now that i

have a good engine running sweet. Took it for a 25 mile run today. Never missed a beat.

Back up on the lift to check things out, and picked up on a worn rear wheel bearing.

Ordered 2 kits today, and looking forward to improving the car no end.

Next one looks more appealing now, ha,ha, :unibrow:

At long, long last, after 2 broken shoulders, and a heart attack in the last 6 months, me and the fasty are back on the road,

I got my new external sun visor from Vosca in the Netherlands. Quality is top notch and a great bit of kit, and easily fitted.

I also picked up a boot rack from Revo, originally from an MX 5

I just finished installing a wideband oxygen sensor and controller to check the AFR of my dual solex's.
Its working well, and I have them dialled in to the correct AFR for idle on my type 3 . Just need to monitor the lite cruise values as well as the wide open throttle values to see if my jets need changing.

It appears to be an accurate piece of kit, which I am playing with at the moment to educate myself on its benefits. But so far I have found that its super accurate from the least turn of the volume control screw. Its taking the guesswork out of the procedure.Bought it from France which was 200 euro cheaper than in Ireland.
Magic
