Amazingly, the steering stuff is all good. Shock upper bolts are frozen solid. So... I had to move everything to get the trailer over by the garage and in range of the air compressor.

Spent the morning prepping my pan for POR-15. I found one more hole, right under the driver's heal. So... there will be a bit more to weld prior to coating.

The lower ball joints and window rubbers have arrived. The upper ball joints arrive monday. I hope to have a full roller by the end of this next week.

Man, this stuff is humbling. I have been dealing with a dead cylinder in the pink notch. Weeks of frustration... I checked for intake leaks when this appeared with carb cleaner and couldn't find any sign at the dead whole. So today, I rebuilt a different carb that I had, put it in place, tighten everything down and fired off the engine, only to have the exact same problem. Augh!!!

So I decided to use a propane torch to see if I had missed something, and as soon as it got near cylinder number 2, at the base of the intake manifold, the cylinder came to life. After 3 carb rebuilds on the 1st carb, rebuilding an entirely different carb and putting it in, it comes down to what I and others had thought it was in the 1st place. A freaking intake air leak.
I am not sure why the carb cleaner didn't find it, but I am using propane for now on!

Body back on 4 tires and on the ground. Next step is getting the body on the pan this week.

Trying to race this weekend in the pink car.

After tearing 2 gaskets trying to open them for the heads, the 3rd is on and all 4 cylinders live! I can race Saturday!
Now, to change the slave cylinder and bleed it so I have a clutch, put the seats back in, find the old engine cover, fix the access cover so it stays closed, put the tonneau cover studs back in so it is rain resistant, torque the lugs, adjust the fuel pressure, tighten the linkage, add the breather, and... whew, that's still a list!

Oh, and this time, the STF engine has great oil pressure!

And, today... while waiting for the pink car engine to cool back down:

Went through the trim... need both front fender side marker belt line trims, 1500s script and bumpers...

Lots of good work! Thats coming along very quickly and I like how well the engine crane copes with a whole body, id never had thought of that.

Good luck at the track

Do to playing it safe, I dealt with terrible wheel spin from too much tire pressure. But, nothing broke and that was the goal. My mismatch batch of parts is about 135bhp to the ground. Not great, not terrible.

So, the racing didn't go great, but all driver error. The car was fine. The last weekend of August, we will try again. The only issue between now and then is swapping a v/c gasket and actually refitting the passenger seat (I ran out of time before).
