Started jamming the car in sealer. Then, after all the sealer is applied, I will sand again.

I finalized the color. It should flip from black to blue. This was 4 coats I think I will use 3.

I was going to repair this hood and swap, but the structure is full of holes, crunchy and not sound. So... i will cut the louvers out and move them to the current hood.

The engine cover got more bodywork today. I will have to break out a little bondo for the lower front mount area then more sealer. This car will look sooo much different.

I moved the car a bit more and in the light I found 7 bangs in the NOS trunk lid. So, hammer/dolly and much better! But... then I found one more. Doh!
I'm out of primer for now...

2nd picture shows the flake in the highlight color on the gauge cluster panel. I hope it shows a bit through the pearls...

What have I learned the 3 days of working on this NOS trunk lid? Unless they are stored in a padded box? NOS does not mean pristine, straight metal. However, verses several other lids I have or do own? It is pristine!

I am currently chase more dings. The 1st ones were overshadowing the one I have since found.

Been creating a flange on the panel to minimize bodywork on the hood. Next, I have to snadblast the piece to remove some old bondo between some louvres...

On the prior post, you can see how rough the louvre area was. So, today I sandblasted the piece not knowing what I would find.

I am pleased with the result!
