Post by bigbadbadge » 28th February 2011 - 9:31pm

This is how I got her last June, added the wheels and had to raise front suspension 1 spline. She was registered as KFL212G

With the kind help of Dave (The Editor)i got my age related plate from DVLA and put on today, also repainted the front N/S wing (did this last week).

Hi Marty Thank you and thanks Rob

Here she is, built at home in 1999 and sprayed with Halfords acrylic paint, Pinstriped in 2004 with Airfix/humbrol model enamel paint, Jane and Brian Terry in Elham have been wonderful and helped out in many ways can thoroughly recommend (very helpful and honest people) Interior has GCC Awesome Seats with leopard skin fur (fake) centres and an old school style dash with nice old VDO rev counter

As ever, we're pretty tolerant - I do chop a lot of the Sussex meet photos though - very rarely do they have any Type 3s and 4s there, it seems, and I can see plenty of Campers and Beetles on other forums. I'd probably have just posted a front and back, but at least you do have a Type 3! People on here are very good at self-policing. Thanks everyone!
Dave.

Right pair of beauties,

have you tried swapping the wheels over?,

Rivieras look great on fastys and the lines on the others (excuse my ignorance but i cant name them!) would go well with the pin stripes on the bug.

Hi Haz

Thanks for the kind comments I am gonna try swapping over at somepoint, I would like to see what the Replica Gas burners would look like on the bug.

Thanks Ozzy, I do like you notch with the Fat lip rivieras, they look great on your car.

Thanks Mart

Yep Inspiration came from Inch pincher and the Deno Dyno Saurs bug too. Would love to have been able to do a more florally roof as the roof on Inch Pincher looked absolutley Awesome.

Hi All

Some piccies of the Fasty on the replica Rivieras. Sorry about shadows.

I need to get some welding done on the offside front wing and then I can replace the sill trim.

The wheels certainly do fill out the arches, I would love the front end to be lower but cannot turn without the tyre rubbing, would love to put a set of Fat Lip Rivieras on one day can get her out of the clouds again then.

Found a new VW script for the decklid recently at a local classic car show with all the fixing pins in place for a Bargain £4. Beetle now sold unfortunately :crybaby:

Thanks for looking
