1962 Notchback

Post by dubpower83 » 26th August 2009 - 5:51pm

New to the forum as I've just become the proud owner of this 1962 Notchback. Loved the Notches since I first saw a picture of one and I've been looking for the right car for me for a long time! It joins a 1969 Beetle and a 1972 Bay Window in my 'fleet'.

It was originally registered in Germany and has been in the UK for 10 years with one owner. Most of the paint is originally from '62 (although weathered in places) but it has NOS wings which have been blended in to match the rest of the Dove Grey body colour.

Fully MOT'd and fitted out with the T3D works in the suspension department - dropped spindles and 4in narrowed beam on the front, custom made rear spring plates. It has a re-con 1500cc engine with 1600cc barrels and heads and runs like a dream...

I will be at Action on the Saturday only, as work commitments are calling for the Sunday of the same weekend - typical!!

If anyone has any shots of this Notch I'd love to see them.

Its actually a period accessory that was made for early (and N) models that don't have a bonnet trim normally.

... and the colour would be Anthracite.

I'll get mi anorak... :D

Maybe he uses aol.com and the photos just took a while to arrive as they don't seem to know about our existence.
