Type 4 parts availability?

Post by Robbie Dunne » 21st March 2021 - 11:22am

Hi All,

Long time since ive been on. I have recently been offered a 412le 4dr fast back. A car I find seriously cool! Its probably the only one in Ireland and looks like it was a lovely car in its day. The issue is this its in poor condition. From what I can see it is complete with 1.8i engine still in place etc but it needs floors, bonnet, engine lid door repair, spare wheel well repair, bumpers and full interior. It probably needs more thats just what I could get at as its been lying for years and in an open field for the past 4.

Its not big money but I just cant see if its do able given the lack of parts for them.

Any taughts?

Rescuing a Type 4 from advanced body rot means a lot of creative metalwork. Folk do still have parts like door and wings stashed away but you have to look hard.

Just removing engine ancillary parts would be of value hard to find anywhere.
Type 411 Le four door auto .
