Way Out Westie!

Post by vweddy69 » 13th April 2020 - 10:17am

Just want to give a big shout Mike at Way Out Westie. Our Square was off the road and having spent a day running through the engine we still couldn't get Memphis turning over. Called on Way Out Westie, Mike is a great VW guy, he came out to our house and serviced both our Square and Bay Window on the driveway. He had a complete spare distributor set up with him along with everything else you could imagine needing. With the car firing again he quickly realised my carb set up was completely out, Mike specialises in dual carb set ups. We had the wrong settings, the float was staying open and the jets were wrong. Was glad to have Mike rebuild the carbs and set Memphis straight, including installing a pressure valve to the fuel line feeding the Carbs. Driving is now the best we have had from Memphis and really looking forward to getting out for more than just an essential journey.
If you need your VW serviced at home check out Way Out Westie!

He is in St Albans but travels all over. It's an her down the road from us. Was great value as we had both VW's to service, check out his web and Facebook pages.
