Type 3 Windscreen...

Post by Angelo Amato » 14th October 2019 - 7:04pm

Hi all ,

I asked this a long while ago and hoping things have progressed (also I've forgotten :P )

I'm after a decent replacement windscreen for my Fasty, prefer new but last time (25+year ago :P ) I got a new branded (Triplex) one the fit was down right appalling that I eventually binned it and fitted a VW one albeit heavily scracthed :/

Can anyone recommend a suppler/manufacturer in the UK please ?

A NOS one would be nice but...

cheers,

Angelo

Pilkington glass is generally very good - no experience with their type 3 product though

Not for me, but good to know for other type 3 owners.

Are you ordering one ?

Alternatively I have a couple of good used ones. One of which is on ebay.

Still considering it.

Price was a bit of shocker but shouldn't be a surprise these days I guess.

My main issue would be that it fitted properly after the bad experience I had with a Triplex one albeit that was over 2 decades ago.
