Re: Late Type 3 Fresh Air Box

No skills required, its a simple step.by step, much like any step by step instructions in day to day life. Even better though. If you were to click on my username for example. You will see an option to send me an email. And if you do that for most of the users. You will see, you have access to all t...

Re: Solex 32 Carburettor Gaskets

Hello, I'm not selling a gearbox mountt or window scraper. There aren't any listed in my advert above. But I am selling the gaskets. The total for the gaskets posted first class is £23. I assume you have some how confused my advert with Craig's? http://www.vwtype3and4club.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?...

Re: New E10 Petrol

Honestly I think its a bit over played. US has been E15 for a while and EU is mostly E10. Remember that cars intended for the US market will have been built for that market so they will be fine. Cars built for mainland Europe or the UK will not take kindly to being served with E10. Higher octane pe...

YEah, Shell V Power Nitro + (the silliest named petrol) is E5. If you want to be on the safe side, then you are doing right.

Honestly I think its a bit over played. US has been E15 for a while and EU is mostly E10. I havent heard laods of complaints from them. Maybe worth a google. I suspect the problems only really set in during lay ups. regular use will mitigate.

Re: New E10 Petrol

A completely non scientific reference. This hose was sold to me as fuel hose. Not as ethanol proof, not making any fancy claims. Its the cotton over braided stuff which has a bit of a bad reputation. I bought this 3 years ago and fitted it to the car 2 and a half years ago. Ive hve kept a close eye ...

Re: New E10 Petrol

I have seen E10 at the pumps for most of this year. Lots of places have already swapped over, so you may have been using it unwhittingly. You can get 100% Ethanol proof fuel hose. Which will solve a lot of the issues, but there are a couple of diaphrams on carb cars that need looking after. https://...
