A New Member, Introducing His '71 411LE Variant!

Post by Singer » 17th August 2011 - 11:09pm

Hi All,

Let me introduce myself I'm Jack, from Portsmouth and I'am the rather proud owner of my '71 411LE Variant (Reg: JPC 411K). I was down at Beach Buggin' on Southsea at the weekend and and was kindly introduced into the Type 3 & 4 Club, (thanks purplepeter! :D ) the event was cracking and so was the display. it felt great to be a part of the show. anyway I acquired my variant in april and ever since he's been my daily. I have seen that there is older pictures of him on here, in the gallery section, and he's pretty much stayed the same since! I must admit his paintwork has deteriorated in places (and I did lose a mudflap! ) but otherwise he is exactly as he as in the pictures (I believe dated in the 90's?). anyway its great to be a part of the club and I hope to attend some more shows in the future! :D (I've attached a picture of the show on the weekend as well!)

Jack

Always good to another Type 4 being used, and as has already been said, a great looking one as well!

Nah black braided piping would look loads better and I could help you out by buying your red braided piping! :unibrow:

Just let me know if I can help you out!

Why not just do a straight swap? New black for old red - sounds fair to me! Offering to pay makes it sound desirable. ;-)

I don't know if this would do - about £10 per metre plus P&P?

It might be worth asking for a sample or bigger photo. It's not clear if the outer surface is braided or if that's just reinforcement.
Dave.
