73 Fastback

Post by Whizzler46 » 21st May 2013 - 5:05pm

Got my 73 fastback last summer and enjoyed though what little of the good weather we had.

Not done a great deal with it yet. Replaced nearly all the engine service items straight away and had fun with it. However towards the end of last year it started running poorly so over winter out popped the engine for a freshen up

Plenty of pics of the state it was in before but not so many after sorry, Was too eager to get it installed once built.

So how it came out

However while it was out i thought i would freshen the engine bay up however there lay more work when the bumper mount came out by hand

During the snow i set up a little home spray area for the tin ware

And all back in

And one of the car. I have yet to do anything visible on the outside from how i got it yet other than clean it.

Though I currently have some standard steels away at the powder coaters and plan to lower it a little more asap.

very nice! good work :)

just one thing though, I would advise moving the fuel filter out of the engine bay and next to the gearbox out of harms way, if it leaks where it is you will have fire on your hands..
