I've duplicated this from the Type 3 gallery as its of interest to you Type 4 boys as well.

It's from a French film called "Trafic" a kind of comedy road movie in which the main character has to get his prototype car from Paris to the Amsterdam Motor show (hence the large DAF stand).

It was released in 1971, but this still must have been shot late 1968 or 69 as that's the only year the Type 4 and Type 34 were available at the same time.

It's a picture of the Autorai. A Dutch autoshow in the beginning of 1969.

In the corner you see a little bit of the Rallye-car from PON. Gijs van Lennep was driving very well. He ended the 16th place and was the first "normal" car.

Here you see a better picture of the car:

PS They didn't washed the car, all the dirt is from the Monte Carlo Rallye!!! Seems like Koni ..............
It's too new ;)

This is my first reply on this forum. Hope you loved it!

Welcome to the forum Ton.
It is common to display race and rally cars unwashed - especially if the event was quite recent.
Like you say the Koni Sticker looks new... I hope they charged accordingly for the sponsorship!
Its a nice pic and addition to the thread - thanks for posting it.

They used 5 Koni-absorbers (2 front, 2 back and of course the steering-absorber) ;)
