Another two type 4's appear

Post by kps70 » 3rd July 2011 - 9:27am

Well, we managed 3 411s at BVF yesterday!
A guy came over in the afternoon to say he had two type 4's, both on the road. I think he was in Chesterfield but he never goes on the internet. He has a 412 variant and a 411 sedan (like you Shawn). The variant is running on lpg with the tank in the front and the 411 he has put a more powerful motor in (he said 160bhp!). He showed me pictures of the two cars. The sedan looks really neat and the variant only has 60k on the clock. He had decided to come to BVF in his camper though!! He is in the club (joined last year) but that's all I know.

Excellent, would be nice to see photos of them.

Would like to have got to BVF in my 412, but still waiting for the clutch master to be returned, I suspect that pastparts are struggling to get some seals :(

It would be good to have had a couple more Type 4s, but only if I had some Type 3 company too! Only one Type 3 on the stand is a bit of a come-down. Mind you, the passes never came - weren't even here when I got back. We had space reserved so they can't have lost my request and payment. Hoo-ha with the entry as well - not best pleased with the organisers, but Ron411 gave us the benefit if his experiences with FI parts, and had a load of cut-open ones to show how they work and what can go wrong. We'll have to put together a few technical sessions for future meetings.
Dave.
