where can i find a clutch for my 74 412?

dropped the engine (AN code 1800 carb model) yesterday to change the clutch, and the 215mm clutch disk i had bought dosent fit! the original is a 210mm disk, but with a smaller spline fitting than standard type 1 and the 215 i offered up. can i use a 210mm 1700 type 4 clutch, or will the splines be different?

also, the flywheel is cracked in several places on the clutch mating surface can i get hold of a standard 5 bolt 1800cc type 4 flywheel, or is this going to be another 412 specific part?

Maybe Danny can help. A mate offered him a Type 4 210mm friction plate the other day. Not sure if it goes on the 1800 as the parts book doesn't go as far as 1974 - Jane and Bryan could tell you.

Is that danny as in danny lord? i spoke to volksfarmers yesterday, and yes it is definately the 210mm small spline fitting friction plate that i need, but they dont have any in.... could you put me in touch with this guy who may have one?

Nice one editor - just got a friction plate for a fiver and volksfarmers are sending me a NOS pressure plate and a good used flywheel for a good price as well

they come one ebay quite often for not much money and i always used a 215 presure plate from a bay with no problems
