Stumbled across this pic when searching for parts.
Has anyone ever come across these wonder operated 1/4 lights for a type 4. Pretty cool and I’ve never seen them on any other vw before.

You're finding some unusual stuff !
AFAIK all type 4's had one piece window glass on the front doors, with a cut out to allow ventilation without noise.
The gear lever doesn't look right either, as you sure this isn't a VW Brasilia ?

Quarter lights were an option for the 411/412.

It’s in the 411 Taxi brochure from 1968ish. Was just interested in the ‘window winders’ for the 1/4 lights.

I stand corrected, I have found them in an old parts manual. They can't have been that popular then ?

No it seems not. I couldn’t find any other picture of them on the internet. Oh well, at least I’ve learnt another Type 4 fact.937carrera wrote: ↑17th August 2019 - 12:06amI stand corrected, I have found them in an old parts manual. They can't have been that popular then ?

I believe it's an automatic box.937carrera wrote: ↑16th August 2019 - 11:20pmThe gear lever doesn't look right either, as you sure this isn't a VW Brasilia ?
