Are Type 3 and Type 4 Europa bumpers the same?

Type 3 and Type 4 bumpers
The rear bumpers are the same. The front are not; the Type 4 is much more rounded at the front. I think I've seen the odd Type 3 with a front Type 4 bumper, but I don't think you could fit a Type 3 on a Type 4.
The other thing to appreciate is that the big Type 3 front bumper up to '71 has a straight cut end, while the '72 on has a cut away end. That was done to make it fit the Type 1 Ghia without threatening the bodywork, but it will still fit on the 70 and 71 no probs.
The only other comment is that there was a 74 USA Type 4 bumper of heavy aluminium (aluminum) for safety tests - not seen one over here though.
