another bad relay problem!! doin my edd in!!

i got an early 12v fasty and when i put the lights on the main beam works but if i go to high beam (by using the toggle switch on the back of the indicator) the lights raise n go off n when i go back to main beam the lights go up again n go to main beam (as it shud)

if i change the beam to high n hold the toggle on the back of the indicator it goes up as it shud n as i let go it goes back off

is my relay not holding the connection n need a new 1 or is it some sort of bad earth?

i had a similar problem in my type4. i traced it to dirty fuses. clean the tips of the fuses and the blades that they sit in and see if that helps.
