What modern fuel pumps are people using on FI type 3’s?
Years back after getting through countless used original Bosch units (they never lasted long), I shipped a new US Ford Ranger pump over as that’s what people on thesamba were using. It fit and worked well and lasted ten years but now that’s given up so looking at new options. Thanks.

George,
I use one of these mainly because I had access to some for free, they fit in the original pump holder bracket but you do need some adapter fittings to get to 8mm ID hose that can be quite expensive! Also it is a bit noisy as its designed to be submerged in fuel.

Re: Type 3 FI fuel pump options?
Thanks for the feedback Doug. I got the existing pump (an American Airtex E2000 Ford Ranger Pump) working. Turns out the fuel pump relay was on its last legs and not supplying a steady power supply to the pump not so I got a new one. Bosch still make the relays- £5 off ebay so was an easy fix this time! Cheers again.
