Windscreen Washer Connections

Post by JSR-69 » 20th June 2019 - 11:10pm

I am trying to reconnect the washer pipes to the column wash/wiper switch for my 412 and I cannot work out which pipe goes on which spigot. They are marked 'D' and 'B' and I was expecting a simple German equivalent of 'Bottle' and 'Screen' or 'Jets' but I'm stumped. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks, David, 'Drück' is certainly a good start, to give me total confidence I'd like to know what the 'B' might be. I have the diagram but it doesn't give me any confidence about picking which spigot is which.

The tube that goes to the jet comes from the right hand connection according to the diagram

My German isn't good enough to know what the B stands for :(

On my steering column the spigots are one above the other, with 'B' below 'D'.

You just made me dismantle my car.

On mine they are not side by side, or vertical, but diagonal.

So looking down the steering column:

Bottom left, feed

Top right, delivery

Thanks, David, I believe we've cracked it!

In English: 'B' = Bottle, 'D' = Delivery, perhaps?
