Type1 oil cooler

Post by Aaronslimvw » 20th May 2019 - 9:56pm

Hey, the oil cooler on my late fasty has just failed. And i cant seem to find a new one? Can i fit a late type1 cooler without much hassle? I know the oil pressure sensor is not on the type1 cooler and that the bolt holes are smaller. Can i just enlarge those holes slightly and have the pressure sensor elsewhere?

I believe they are also thinner. I also can't think where else you would mount the pressure sender post oil pump on a stand and engine. You won't find a new type 3 cooler, but there are many second hand ones about. An ultrasonic clean is the way to go.

I may have one but ill have to check this week.
