OK confession time..........it is a hoax, it is Simon Kellys 62, he showed me the pics of it at Stonor park and we thought we would make up the Barnfind story to see what reaction we would get, the notch really has been in the barn for about 8 years and has not been driven in about 20 years, would have been cool if the story was true tho huh?
Sorry Guys,
Danny.

Well it was a bit of a barn find in 2001, I had gone to see Christian wagner with Brian Johnson to buy a 1500S and some bits .. and he asked if we wanted to see his 62.. he hadn driven it scince 87/88.
Then he told me it was sold to a kid in Cirencester.. but he never turned up within 2 weeks with a deposit.
So I had 2nd dibs on it and it was then mine.
Been trying to get it out of storage scince 2005.
Anyhow.. its chassis number 0032*** for anyone thats interested ,, sorry Larry and Lynn.. 2 previous owner, 42K miles .
Put a battery on her thursday but she aint turnin.. starter moters solenoid it stuck or an electical problem .
Plann to get her running for tatton park or Action.

That was the car that should have been in the Popular Classics Type 3 Buyers Guids, back in 1995. Christian turned up with another Notch that was far from perfect, and had to be hidden at the far end of the line-up, beyond my '72 Turquise Metallic Fastback, Paul Taylor's '67 Sea Sand Fastback. and my '71 Variant.
His good one wasn't taxed (remember the days?) and was safely stored away.
