Anyone in East Sussex??

There used to be a very fast Square near Lewes. Nitrous, chopped top etc. Probably not around any more. Jim Bourne may know of some other locals, though he's more into Type 4s. He's got some Type 3s rusting away I think, plus parts. Same contact details as the Club Treasurer (see club joining info).
Dave.
I's Jim in the South East? - I'll like to think there's some type3's around here.Editor wrote:There used to be a very fast Square near Lewes. Nitrous, chopped top etc. Probably not around any more. Have you tried the 'tax exempt' excuse? Worked OK for me. I suppose your wife's notch is exempt though.shawn71 wrote:It is me in Forest Row!! with a 412 Variant though, not a Type 3. Keep trying to convince my wife to sell her bug and notch but she won't.
Second plan is convince my sons that a Type 3 is th eway to go but...
I drive through Forest Row regularly, dont really see any bugs around. I know of some up the road in east grinstead. I'm the other side of the forest in Crowborough - got bugs & campers and just got type3 a few days ago. You'll see them if you use the A26
Will you be coming to Bus Stop on 18th July? Free to visit for the day.

The wifes bug is tax exempt and she loves it, so I think I'll have to wait for a notch for a while. My wifes bug is a blue and '71 1300 stock ride hieght and wheels etc.
My 412 is marathon blue with a big roof rack on it. I go across to Beacon Community College (I work with the Youth Centre based there) quite a bit in it and as it my daily runner if I'm out and about it is too
Not sure what we have planned yet show wise but a gathering of Type 3s/4s would be quite cool at Bus Stop...would certainly make a change to the usual Bays and Splits you see everywhere
Catch up with you soon

I live in Hove and have a pearl white 62 notch as my daily runaround.
I've seen a couple of other type 3's in this area - a pearl white late fasty I've seen on the road a few times and there used to be a late cal look square and a late pale blue fasty parked a few streets away, but I haven't seen them for a while.
There are a couple of really nice Ghias around these parts too.

I have only just come back from Hove - I went to Brighton and Hove last week too and saw a deep red Notch outside the VW Garage.J wrote:I live in Hove and have a pearl white 62 notch as my daily runaround.

Had to put the Square on ebay due to the amount of work required
I will scrape the money together to get another one though - Got to sell my Bay first.
