Re: Early Squareback
Just got a heads up. car is being delivered tomorrow. I cant wait
Re: Early Squareback
Car was delivered today.
Its a cracking little motor. I had to free a seized wheel on the front passenger side. And I was amazed at the condition there.
The caliper was in great visual condition. Even down to the packed grease around the pins that hold in the pad,
and the cross spring as well. But really amazed at the pad factory markings, yellow and red paint.
But shocked at the condition and markings of the brake hoses and dust covers on all the steering joints. They look like they
were fitted last week.
And the vw smell of the interior, brilliant. And the perfect closing of both doors, unbelieveable.
I think I came up trumps with this one. Ohh nearly forgot to mention, 50 years of beachy sand under the wing
power washed off to reveal original, 50 year old german paint. And where the paint is missing, solid german metal.
It doesn't get much better.

Even down to the two flap doors on the water chutes at each side of the engine bay,
complete with door flap rubber seal.
This is truly an amazing car.
