Re: Ignition fault or vacuum?
Exactly what I thought! But he says it’s cold start only. Been having another play today and plug lead no 3 was not clicked on properly and refuses to. I’m ordering a new set from Just Kampers. Hopefully this will cure the problem.

Wow, no idea. What I suggest however get yourself a copy of Volkswagen fuel injection technical manual, by Henry Elfrink. It’s very comprehensive, plenty of copies available on eBay.

Oil pressure gauge, I can see the reasoning behind that. Where would you plumb a pipi into the system?

Engine temp gauge
Hi all and happy new year. I would like to set up a temp gauge on my 411, thinking it would be good to know. The engines FI anybody fitted one in the past? I need to know is it possible and where to begin. I don’t think I’m experiencing overheating but wouldn’t know if I was. Any input would be great.

Googled understeer last night, main causes.... driver!! So will put that to one side I’m an excellent driver. Re: 411 sedan handling?
Big difference to what I was quoted. This was all about handling and the reviews on the Toyos were very good, thinking now I should bite the bullet. As for the strut brace not sure on that, combined with a double anti roll bar, also bolt on item go for test drive see if it makes a difference. Don’t ...

Re: 411 sedan handling?
Hi all re tyres got some prices to go on, was taking the advice of soft tyres so Toyo VW classic work out at £82 each or Nanking £39 each both soft compound. Going for the Nanking, also thinking of a strut brace just to start with this can be fitted and removed with no issues, down side it would nee...

Mine are 22 psi according to the manual, however the tyres are twenty years old, no perishing visible but would be wise to change them I think.

Re: 411 sedan handling?
Thank you for the replies that was interesting reading. A definite design fault then. That’s only my opinion! Probably best to stick to the motorway. I’m not experiencing any wheel wobble, fingers crossed it’s more a case of oversteer on tight bends.
