Hi all, Can't beleive how quick time flies!!! I've had this out the garage for over a year now so due to my complete lack of time to give it any attention, it's now with Volksfarmers. Quick update - the car passed it's MOT! Wayhey!........................................................................then died shortly after - traced it to crud in the pressure reg that wasn't alowing any fuel to return & was flooding the engine with fuel, still, at least the internals are nice & ...

Thanks for your help...I'm going to let my mechanic give it a go while I take a closer look at the old pump...He bench tested the old pump but couldn't get enough pressure from it - i'll see if i can clean it through as per the guide in the tech section.

I have a replacement fuel pump for my FI 1700 411 but it doesn't have a return 'port'. Can I just run the return line straight back to the tank?
