Re: 73’ fastback

I am going to fit a set of American Racing Torque Thrusts to my square and need to fit type 1 beam and narrow the rear arms - all to get the right offset. Car looks properly solid and pretty standard - nice job hows the air ride us...

Re: Shocks
sounds like you need to move the inner and outer splines to get a little more lift and reduce the grub screw extension - then youll have some wiggle room when levelling the car out. There is a diagram online that tells you how many inner and outer splines are needed to get lift / drop -

Re: Carb balancing
If the carbs are in decent condition (no excessive wear in shafts) or vacuum leaks - this is something that any mechanic can do if they want to. Most carbs have a factory setting that is usually a good baseline to start from ( 2 turns out) for mixture screws for example. From there setting idle spee...

Re: 1971 FI notch won’t run
I swapped from FI to carbs (40mm dellortos) because of engine size being too much for stock FI system. But if I had left it 1600 I would definitely get that FI system sorted - nothing better when running as intended...good luck sorting

Re: '67 Square continued.....
Maybe slightly loosen the mounts and space top mount a few mm? If you tightened everything with the motor on a jack maybe its worth a try. As long as you use 10.9 grade fasteners you can add spacers and avoid messing about shortening the manifolds that are super-short as it is...
